I Am Possible with Seattle Renay

Seattle Renay modeled for us at the 'There's A Hope Foundation' in April and she caused a storm. We wanted to ask her a few questions to find out more about who she is and her vision for the future.

Seattle is wearing Isossy Children'Angel Rock Dress
Seattle wears Isossy Children Angel Princess Dress

We see you as a role model for many kids who have talent and want to break into this very competitive industry. Simple question, how did you do it? (Tips, tell us a bit of detail about how you got started and then landed the biggest job you've had.)

When I was 3 years old my mom wanted to take pictures for my birthday. My mom and the photographer saw that I did really good, and as I got older and older I kept modeling. My biggest job was in Atlanta modeling for Isossy with Mrs. Kahran and Mr. Reggie. I started modeling for Isossy because of my personality.

You have the Seattle Renay Foundation...can you tell us what work you do through the Foundation?

I raise money to give out school uniforms for grown ups who don’t have any money.

You are a busy 7yr old, how do you manage your schedule?

My mommy drives me around and pays for everything.

As a 7yr old business person what does hard work mean to you?

Hard works means trying your best and trying your best means working hard and giving your all.

What motivates you?

Happiness, having fun, people being proud of me, and being the best are the things that motivates me.

Do you have a role model?

Yes, my role models are my dance teach Ms. Tiki and dance captain Surya.

What tip would you share with budding talents out there?

Tell your mom about what you want to do and how you feel about it. Then when you do it try your best.

Is there a special event or moment that you will never forget?

I will never forget when I was bullied. I was doing my first pageant and the other girls were saying my dress couldn’t spin around but it could spin around just not big like their dress. It made me feel sad and not happy. So I started crying and told my mom. She had them to apologize to me and they said “sorry” so I felt happy.

Isossy Children is global clothing for kids. You rocked the Angel collection and looked like a little 'Queen of Sheba' (the red and bronze dress). How did it feel wearing African and Asian prints?

Yes honey! Good! I felt good when I wore that dress and it made me feel like a Queen to a King! Like on Coming to America.

As our West Coast Brand Ambassador, what message will you be spreading about Isossy Children?

I would tell people that Isossy has nice clothes and they want kids to be happy and beautiful.

Seattle, Isossy Children salutes you!!

Isossy Children Meets Kennedy Hall

Isossy Children has always been impressed by the professionalism of this young superstar! Kennedy Hall was born in Silver Spring, Maryland, and resides in the Washington, DC metro area where she has been going from strength to strength and taking Isossy Children with her.

Read this interview and be inspired.

What have I been up to?
How much time do you have…LOL! I previewed my new clothing line, Dopenerd, in Miami in April 2015. I officially launched the clothing line in Atlanta, GA on June 20, 2015. The launch opened with an Invitation Only Dopenerd All White Party. It was amazing! I’m getting my marketing and promotions in order to push my line into the mainstream. I want my brand to be a household name like Polo. I am also modeling, and my acting career is really taking off! I am working on two features film, completed a Web Series, and completed segment on Kidz Couch. I am leaving for Los Angeles in two days for dance, acting and vocal lessons

Give us 5 Tips on how you do what you do?
1)      My parents support me 110%
2)      Use social media to expose my brand
3)      Establish relationships with like-minded people
4)      Always do my homework and get good grades
5)      Be willing to work hard

What do you love doing the best?
I love to draw so I would say fashion designing is what I enjoy the most. I love to sing and dance!

Have you met anyone famous?
Yes, I have met several famous people. I attended the Annie premiere in New York City. I met Jamie Foxx, Quvenzhane Wallis, Eden Duncan Smith, Will Smith and Megan Goode. I met Lil Romeo in California. I met KeKe Palmer at Cinderella on Broadway (NYC)

What have you learnt?
I have learned that this business is very hard. I have long days sometimes, and I travel a lot. I have met some wonderful people along the way, and I enjoy what I do. I have learned that I will not get every part I audition for, but I don’t let it upset me. I know I am learning and getting better everytime I audition.

Do you feel you have to work hard?
Yes, I have to work very hard.  I live in Washington, DC, but I travel to New York all the time which is a 4 hour car drive. I attend a lot of acting and dance classes. I attend the Debbie Allen Dance Academy in Los Angeles in the summer time, and I attend acting classes in New York and Los Angeles.

Who recognized my talent?
My mom was the 1st person to recognize my talent.  I started modeling 1st, and then I branched off into singing and acting. My mom took me to see Cinderella on Broadway starring Keke Palmer, and I caught the “acting bug. I fell in love with musical theater.

Who’s your role model?
My mom, definitely. She works hard, and teaches me that I can do anything I want to do.

What tip would you give to budding talents out there?
My tip would be “don’t give up”. Do not get discouraged if someone says No at an audition or casting.  Just know that you are perfecting your craft for your big break.  Every huge star that made it was told “NO” by someone, even Beyonce!

What do I love about Isossy?
I love Isossy because it is unique. I love how Isossy embraces the culture, and create showstopping designs. I love the Isossy “I am Possible” campaign.  Isossy is Me, I live, love Isossy!!

Please finish this sentence: I am possible because….
I am possible because I can be whatever I want to be. My mom said that I can win the Nobel Peace Prize just like President. Obama. Because I have a caring heart and because I’m very smart. I have to work very hard even when I’m a little kid, I don’t have to wait till I grow up.

Why do you like Isossy Children and how does it make you feel when you wear Isossy Children clothes (if you have worn them)?
I like Isossy clothes because they are different. My other clothes don’t have the same colours or designs as Isossy. When I wear them it makes me feel nice, confidant, and Unique. Being unique is good.

I AM POSSIBLE with Kieyen Shiloh Iloyi

“I Am Possible” is about the unification of our passion, style and individuality; empowering each and every child to say 'I Am Possible'. In this interview we meet the talented Kieyen Shiloh Iloyi a 10 year old Rapper and producer.

"Kieyen as a baby was showing clear signs of being musically gifted and being able to memorise information with ease. He was on YouTube from age 1 when as parents we decided to share some of his baby rapping with the world. We knew that he had a very special gift and that we were responsible to recognise and to nurture every possibility for his growth. Being musicians already we involved him and his brothers in everything possible which built our bond and gave them confidence at a very young age. We never looked at Kieyen's age always at his potential and possibility." - Kieyen's Proud Parents

In Isossy Children

Kieyen is the youngest producer on the biggest UK hip hop website JumpOffTV, he was featured age 7 as Britain's next big producer. He released his first official single and music video aged 8. He also started a T- Shirt line called 'I get A's' to accompany his single to inspire young children which saw Kieyen featured in major press, magazines and newspapers such as The Voice. Kieyen along with his brothers were the youngest artists to grace the BEFFTA Award stage as well as win a young achievers award. Kieyen also has his own documentary called 'Lyrics from the Womb', and is working on his official EP which will be out this Christmas.

You are a role model for many kids who have talent and want to break into this very competitive industry. Simple question, how did you do it? I feel my parents gave me the opportunity to be creative freely and be my own success. I know I was born to do this and feel like a champion but it would not have been possible without my parents knowing I needed them to help guide my journey.

What inspires you?
My parents inspire me because they are always encouraging me, they believe in me and have given me the power to succeed. I am able to see success through them, faith, determination, love and confidence that anything is possible. I call myself a King, this affects how I carry myself and always gives me vision and inspiration to be my best. I feel inspired by myself too because I work hard to achieve my goals and have a lot of confidence when I perform, I am so proud of what I have accomplished so far.

Isossy Children Sweat Collection

What's been your most exciting moment?
My most exciting moment has been winning a young achievers award at BEFFTA 2014. It was so much fun and I was excited about my experience. It was a surprise as well as I did not know I was going to receive this award.

Who recognised your talent?
My parents. They saw a gift in me as a baby, they valued and developed my gifts. They have always given me the best opportunities and never limited me because of my age, they gave me guidance and have always been my biggest support to move me forward.

Who's your role model?
My parents are my role models they really are my biggest inspiration.   Watching them is powerful and gives me joy, they are courageous and never give up. I learn from them. They love me so much and they respect me.

Isossy Children Sweat Collection

What words of wisdom do you think every child should grow up knowing?
That they are special and unique, that they are little Kings and Queens, that anything is possible if you put your mind to it, also that they should not worry about what others think and always be themselves. I believe every child can do anything at any age and can be a leader.

You’ve already achieved a lot but what would you like to do when you grow up?
I would like to continue being a musician because I feel I can use my gift to speak to others about life, I plan to work on being the best at my craft.  As a producer I want to create many different sounds and learn about cultural music. Kreative King production is the name I have given to my growing collection of beats. I am also a football player, I plan to continue working hard on my skills and other attributes. One of my main goals in my life is to become a successful person inside and outside, live a happy life and make my family proud.

Please finish this sentence: I am possible because...
I work hard, reach for my goals and believe in myself.

Isossy Children salutes you.
